The Scenic Railway

The Scenic Railway is the United Kingdom's oldest surviving rollercoaster, one of the attractions at Dreamland Margate in Kent. The ride was built in the 1920's, and still has a brakeman who controls the spead via a large lever controlled from his elevated seat. As of 2002 the ride was become a Grade II listed building the first amusement park attraction to achieve this status.
