There are fourteen Scroll editors; two news, features, opinions, grade-level news, arts, sports, and photography editors. The editors, as well as other Middle School students, contribute the articles that put together the newspaper. The Scroll has recieved numerous awards, such as the Best of Show Award at the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) Journalism Convention in Chicago of this year. The Scroll has a circulation of 1000 papers, and the paper comes out 3 to 4 times a year, depending on the amount of work done by the editors. The advisor to the paper is Colin Bridgewater, a graduate of Bucknell.. He currently works in the seventh grade at the American School in London as an English/Social Studies teacher. The Scroll is a member of the National Scholastic Press Assoctiation and has won awards from them in the past. The last Scroll entered recieved a ranking of 1st Class. In every issue the Scroll includes many photographs, an editorial, and a center spread on a topic of importance to the student body. Every issue is any where from 12 pages to 28 pages long. Features in the past have included a focus on Slam poet Taylor Mali and an interveiw with a British Olympian. Introduction Taylor Mali is a slam poet. ...
