Encyclopedia > The Swan television program

The Swan is a 2004 US reality television program broadcast on the Fox network in which average-looking women are given "extreme makeovers" that include several forms of plastic surgery. At the end of the series, a beauty pageant is held with the surgically-enhanced women. The title of the series refers to the story of The Ugly Duckling that becomes a swan. A second season of the series was broadcast in late 2004.

The program is hosted by Amanda Byram.
