The Three Musketeers (Les Trois Mousquetaires) is a novel by Alexandre Dumas, père. It recounts the adventures of a young man called D'Artagnan after he leaves home to become a musketeer.
The ThreeMusketeers is a 1993 movie version of the classic story from Walt Disney Pictures, directed by Stephen Herek.
The threemusketeers flee the scene and d'Artagnan is captured by the evil Captain Rochefort and blamed for the other captain's murder.
Meanwhile Richelieu is cornered by the threemusketeers, and the King himself throws Richelieu into the deep water, thus drowning the evil Cardinal and saving France and his family.
He meets up with the titular threemusketeers, being Athos (Kiefer Sutherland), Porthos (Oliver Platt), and Aramis (Charlie Sheen), and together they try to foil the dastardly plans of the evil Cardinal Richelieu (Tim Curry) and his nasty lackey Captain Rochefort (Michael Wincott).
Kiefer Sutherland, Oliver Platt, and Charlie Sheen have a great time hamming it up as the threemusketeers, Chris O'Donnell plays the somewhat innocent and naive D'Artagnan with ease, and Tim Curry is the perfect "boo and hiss" bad guy where every time he is on screen you just want to throw something at him.
The aliasing is especially bad on swords, and being a Musketeers movie there are quite a few of them.
