The Uplift Mofo Party Plan is the third studio album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, released in 1987 through EMI America. This is the first and only studio album that featured the original members of the band formed in 1983—Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Hillel Slovak, and Jack Irons. After the release of the album, Hillel Slovak died of a heroin overdose on June 25, 1988, resulting in Jack Irons quitting the band.
