The Vampire Lovers is a 1970 British Hammer Horror film directed by Roy Ward Baker and starring Peter Cushing, Polish actress Ingrid Pitt and Kate O'Mara. It is loosely based on the J. Sheridan Le Fanu novella Carmilla and is part of the so-called Karnstein Trilogy of films. Other films in the trilogy are Lust for a Vampire (1971) and Twins of Evil (1972). Vampires as I know here are born and then awakened by others that are like themselves.
I believe that vampirism is within us from the time of birth and later on in life we realize what we are whether we accept it or not.
It seems the people whom are vampires who do not believe in the love aspect as being the catalyst for vampirism were born one.
