Background

The Bell sisters, Annie (KaDee Strickland), Jane (Teri Polo) and Sammy Bell (Sarah Jones), inherited "The Wedding Palace" after their parents' divorce. Then there's wedding singer Ralph Snow (Chris Williams), who always aspired to be the next Lenny Kravitz, but instead is stuck crooning endless cover songs and retro medleys for unappreciative wedding guests. Amanda Pontel (Missi Pyle) adds to the frenzied scene as a former Bridezilla client who becomes a board member of The Wedding Palace. Themes

The Bell sisters' individual dealings with their parents' divorce: Annie has since begun to focus on work and her unsuccessful relationship with David deeply adds to her disbelief in love; Sammy is disgusted when she discovers that the wedding groomsman she sleeps with is married.

Annie and David's relationship: While the reason for their break-up has not been revealed, it is implied that Annie was the one to break things off. They clearly still have feelings for each other.

Jane and Russell's deteriorating marriage: Russell's cluelessness towards the lack of passion in their marriage (and the world in general) puts a strain on their relationship. Jane's attraction towards the cook causes further problems.
