The Wizard of Oz is the title of several films based on the L. Frank Baum book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz:

(1925), directed by Larry Semon
(1939), directed by Victor Fleming, Richard Thorpe and King Vidor. This is the best-known version, starring Judy Garland as Dorothy.
