The ASPs I spoke with at the Intermedia Group's Websourcing 2000 event, held recently in San Francisco, say the primary reason their customers choose them is to speed time to market and overcome the IT shortage.
On the other hand, without the Fortune 1000 as customers, it's not clear that the ASP model will remain viable.
Most of them require a minimum term agreement, such as three years.
