3.13 Ascending to Vaikundam, the abode of Thirumal
Towards the end of Dwapara Yuga, Thirumal (Mayon), with the aid of Seven Virgins (Saptha Kanniyar), had begotten seven sons, known as the Santror Makkal (see Santror Pirappu), in order to accomplish the task of destroying the Kalineesan and Kali mayai (Kali Yuga Maya) that were to be countered in the following Kali Yuga.
Thirumal, dwelling at Sri Rangam hitherto, found it unworthy of his abode because of the misdeeds of the priests there.
Also the Chakra and Crown of Thirumal were bought by him as boons.
Mean while, Thirumal who was lying in Sri Rangam, as a Pantaram came in front of Kaliyan, who was on his way to farewell Sivan.
Thirumal replied, "When the Kali was defeated it will be away from you." By carrying this money Kaliyan told Kalicchi that, we have now with us what ever we need.
