This Ain't Bebop is a live action short film written and directed by Bakshi in 1989. It was first shown as an episode of the TV miniseries Imagining America, part of PBS's American Playhouse. The 30 minute short stars Dean Hill and Harvey Keitel. It was filmed in locations around Los Angeles, California. The film was produced by Rick Singer, Mark Bakshi and Alex Papas under their banner Way Out Pictures, which later helmed "Rebound: The Legend of Earl 'the Goat' Manigault" for HBO Pictures.
