Sir Thomas Browne of Beechworth Castle married Eleanor Fitzalan, daughter of Sir Thomas Fitzalan, in 1437.


They had four sons and a daughter.

  • Sir Ambrose Browne (d. 1505/1506). Governor of Queenborough Castle. He was married to Lucy Nevill, daughter of John Nevill, 1st Marquess of Montagu and Isabel Ingoldsthorpe.
  • Sir George Browne. Sheriff of Kent. He was married to Elizabeth Paston
  • William Browne.
  • Sir Robert Browne. He was married to Mary Mallet, daughter of Sir William Mallet.
  • Katherine Browne. She was married in 1471 to Humphrey Sackville of Buckhurst (1426 - January 24, 1488).

Katherine and her hustand, Humphrey Sackville, had six children

  • Richard Sackville of Buckhurst (1472 - July 18, 1524) was married in 1492 to Isabel Dyggs.
  • Catherine Sackville.
  • William Sackville (c. 1474 - 1508).
  • Elizabeth Sackville.
  • John Sackville.
  • Edward Sackville. He was married to Jane (Joan) Knaston, daughter to Robert Knyaston and Elizabeth Cobham.
