Encyclopedia > Tiberius Claudius Balbilus

Tiberius Claudius Balbilus was a Greek Freedman who was an astrologer in the reigns of the Emperors Claudius and Nero. In 56 AD, Nero awarded him for his service by making him Governor of Egypt. Balbilus was later charged by Agrippina the Younger of rebelling against her son. His fate afterwards is unknown.
