ABOUT TIBET HOUSE US In 1987, at the request of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, Richard Gere, Philip Glass, Robert Thurman, among others founded Tibet House for the sake of preserving and presenting Tibetan Culture by means of educational programs, exhibitions of art, publications, conferences and the like.
