He has a large collection of Paul Reed Smith guitars which seem to be his preferred brand. His main guitar now is an all mahogany Paul Reed Smith made for him by their custom shop which he calls "Blue". It is special in a few unique ways. It is light blue with special tiki mask inlay on the head stock which was designed by Bob Vessells. Another unique feature about the guitar is the fact that it is a Standard 24 (24 fret) with a "stoptail" bridge which is no longer offered by PRS unless ordered through their custom shop. It also sports the usual Seymour Duncan JB bridge humbucker pickup / Alnico Pro II neck humbucker pickup combination which has been a modification on almost all of his guitars since the very early 90's when 311 first recorded music. Recently he has made another pickup modification to "Blue". Tim now uses a Seymour Duncan SH-13 "DIMEBUCKER" as the bridge pickup. Seymour Duncan is a company that is most famous for manufacturing of guitar pickups, and currently has a line of effects pedals. ...
