Time After Time is a 1979 science fiction novel by Nicholas Meyer, writing as "Karl Alexander". Its plot speculates what might have happened if H. G. Wells had built a real time machine to travel to the 1970s in search of Jack the Ripper. Nicholas Meyer at the Paramount Pictures lot in 2002. ... Herbert George Wells (September 21, 1866 – August 13, 1946) was an English writer best known for his science fiction novels such as The Time Machine, The War of the Worlds, The Invisible Man, and The Island of Doctor Moreau. ...
