Mr. Donahue started his career as a Radio announcer in his hometown of South Portland, Maine. He then relocated to Atlanta, GA and was one of the founders of CNN. He later sold his share of CNN and helped form AT&T Wireless Services (formerly McCaw Cellular Communications) in 1986 as president for McCaw Cellular's paging division. In 1989, he was named McCaw Cellular's president for the US central region.
