The Toei Shinjuku Line (都営地下鉄新宿線 Toei Chikatetsu Shinjuku-sen?) is a subway line in Tokyo, Japan operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation. It runs between Motoyawata Station in Ichikawa, Chiba and Shinjuku Station in Shinjuku, Tokyo. At Shinjuku, most trains continue to Sasazuka Station in Shibuya, Tokyo via the Keio New Line, with some services continuing to Hashimoto Station in Sagamihara, Kanagawa via the Keio Line and Keio Sagamihara Line. It is a junction station between the two lines; the platform layout is designed so that passengers wishing to switch from the Chuo Line to the Sobu Line can do so without changing platforms, and vice versa.
Ochanomizu is the second stop after Tokyo Station on the Chuo Line and one stop before Akihabara Station when traveling from Shinjuku.
Ochanomizu is also served by several subway lines; the Marunouchi Line (丸の内線) and at some distance away, the Chiyoda Line (千代田線) at Shin-Ochanomizu, which is connected to Ogawacho station on the Toei Shinjuku Line (新宿線).
