Tomakomai (苫小牧市; -shi) is a city and port located in Iburi, Hokkaido, Japan.


As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 171,749 and the density of 306.09 persons per kmē. The total area is 561.10 kmē.


The city was founded on April 1, 1948.
