Anthony Maxwell 'Tony' Rundle (born March 5, 1939, Scottsdale) was the Premier of the Australian State of Tasmania from March 18, 1996 to September 14, 1998.
Rundle was first elected as member for Braddon in 1986 he held the seat during the 1989, 1992 and 1996 elections.
The Rundle government is credited for its numerous reforms; including legalising homosexual acts in private, reforming gun laws, the Bass link initiative, signing the Regional Forests Agreement a small move towards more conservation in Tasmania and the handling of the Port Arthur Massacre.

The Premier, Tony Rundle said a Liberal government would rewrite the state constitution so that budgets must be balanced each year, and introduce a law to prevent future governments going back into debt.
But Mr Rundle appears to have at least appeased the majority of Tasmania's public servants with the promise of 5.5 per cent payrise to be phased in over two years.
He was joined by Premier Tony Rundle, who said he would not commit himself to the tax reform package until he saw details of the policies.
