Toronto is a city located in Woodson County, Kansas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 312.

Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 312 people, 171 households, and 80 families residing in the city. The population density is 325.6/km˛ (840.1/mi˛). There are 245 housing units at an average density of 255.7/km˛ (659.7/mi˛). The racial makeup of the city is 97.44% White, 0.00% African American, 0.64% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.92% from two or more races. 0.64% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 171 households out of which 16.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 40.9% are married couples living together, 5.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 53.2% are non-families. 48.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 28.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 1.82 and the average family size is 2.60.
