'Steamer' or 'Steamers' are infrequently seen today, as marine engine plants that burned oil or coal to create heat to boil water to make steam, which turned turbine or piston engines, have largely been replaced by diesel engines -- which can be operated more economically, by smaller crews with less maintenance.
