There were three villages: Biala, Gulcz, and Rozdrozka. Probably, Rodrozka was placed where Trzcianka is today. The new name was Trzciana Laka, which was changed to Trzcionka in the 17th century. After the First Partition of Poland, the new name of the town was Schoenlanke (Ger.). Soviet troops marching toward Berlin from the east entered Trzcianka on 27 January 1945.
