The plateau spreads out long and narrow along Tokyo Bay (東京湾), and Hijiri zaka (聖坂) (“sage slope”) passes on the ridge. The Saikai-ji (済海寺, a Buddhist temple), Kamezuka Kōen (亀塚公園, “turtle tomb park”), and the Mita Hachiman Jinja (御田八幡神社, a Shinto shrine) extend from the slope on the seaward side, while the Mita shōgakkō (御田小学校, an elementary school) stands on the inland side.
