The turning radius of a wheeled vehicle is the width of the smallest 180 degree turn (U-turn) that the vehicle is capable of making. Often this is a generalized term and not a numerical figure. For example a vehicle with a very small turning radius may be described as having a "tight turning radius". A notable exception is in the description of vehicles that are cable of spinning around their central axis, such as a tank or certain lawnmowers. In this case the vehicle is referred to as a "zero turning radius" vehicle, although whether or not the turn radius is actually nonexistent is unclear.
