The Type 99 Kiska grenade was a Japanesehand grenade that entered service in 1939 and saw use in the Second World War. It could be either thrown by hand or fired from a Type 100 rifle grenade launcher. It was a slightly improved version of the earlier Type 97 grenade fixing a number of issues associated with the arming striker.
