The United States District Court for the Northern District of New York is one of 88 judicial districts in the United States and one of four in the state of New York. The district is part of the 2nd Circuit, comprised of the four districts in New York, the District of Connecticut and the District of Vermont. The District is the oldest child of the District of New York which was split into Northern and Southern halves on April 9, 1814.
