The "U.S.S. Dauntless" (NX-01-A)

The USS Dauntless (NX-01-A) was the name of a Federation starship sent by Starfleet to bring the crew of USS Voyager home. Dauntless at all, and a flaw in the particle synthesis technology reveals alien technology during a search of Dauntless's engineering. USS Dauntless - Memory Alpha, the Star Trek Wiki (428 words)
The "USS Dauntless" (NX-01-A) was an alien vessel disguised as a Starfleet prototype starship of the Dauntless-class.
Ultimately, Voyager eluded the trap, and Arturis was left stranded aboard the Dauntless as it entered Borg space, where he was presumably assimilated.
Considering that no one aboard Voyager blinked at the unusual registry number of the Dauntless – NX-01-A – there was presumably an earlier USS Dauntless, with a registry of NCC-01, making it the first vessel commissioned into Starfleet.
