UV Ceti is a binary star system approximately 2.63 pc or 8.57 light-years from Earth's Solar System, in the constellation Cetus. The primary star is a red dwarf of spectral type M5.5e and is known as BL Ceti, G 272-061, GCTP 343.10A, LHS 9 and Luyten 0726-008. The secondary star (UV Ceti proper) is a red dwarf of spectral type M6.0e. It is also known as LHS 10.


Its nearest neighbour is Tau Ceti, 0.88 pc or 2.87 ly away.
