In Una Aventura Llamada Menudo, Menudo members are supposed to fly to Ponce for a concert. However, when their private jet becomes unavailable to fly them from San Juan to Ponce, band member Ricky Melendez hires the services of a hot air balloon company, and during their balloon flight to the concert site, they have trouble and crash land in a beach near a mansion.
Rodriguez's character, a big fan of Menudo who feels old and put aside by her young, hip nieces, lives in that mansion, along with her girls.
Looking for help, the Menudo guys arrive at the house, where they are given food and a room while they try to get in contact with their group director.
As the story develops, Menudo member Johnny Lozada falls in love for one of the girl residents, and Menudo members meet new friends, sing and dance their way through the story.
Una Aventura Llamada Menudo was shown in the big screens of theaters in many countries.
Group's lineup was Xavier, Johnny, Miguel, Ricky, and new member Charlie.
Menudo's real boom, however, came during the 1980s, after the Sallaberry brothers and Oscar and Carlos Melendez were replaced with Rene Farrait, Johnny Lozada, Xavier Serbia and Miguel Cancel.
In 1998, former Menudo members Farrait, Melendez, Masso, Lozada, Cancel and Reyes got together and made a comeback, performing the songs that Menudo popularized during their era.
Menudo is also a spicy soup made with hominy and tripe (intenstine of beef).
UnaAventuraLlamadaMenudo is Menudo's 10th Spanish album (and Soundtrack to their 2nd motion picture with the same title) released in 1982 featuring Ricky Melendez, Johnny Lozada, Xavier Serbia, Miguel Cancel, and Charlie Rivera.
