Uncle Howie Records is a record Label owned by rapper Ill Bill of (now defunct) Non Phixion. The label was named after Ill Bill's drug addicted uncle Howie (who has cleaned up his lifestyle). Uncle Howie Records started off in 1998 as simple inprints on Non Phixion's 12" singles and now includes acts as Non Phixion, Ill Bill, Sabac Red and DJ Eclipse. They have since signed album/12" deals with underground acts like Q-Unique, Immortal Technique, E-Dot, Steven King and Cyn Roc. The group was originally formed in 1995 by Ill Bill and MC Serch of 3rd Bass fame.
It was around this time that Bill started Uncle Howie Records and released Non Phixion's critically acclaimed "I Shot Reagan" single.
After previous record deals with Matador and Geffen records fell apart, they decided to work with Ill Bill's independent record label, Uncle Howie Records.
