Encyclopedia > United Services College

United Services College was an English public school for the sons of military officers, located at Westward Ho, near Bideford in North Devon.


The college was founded in 1874. It was intended to prepare its pupils for military academies, such as Sandhurst. One pupil was the writer Rudyard Kipling.


The United Services College was absorbed by the Imperial Service College.
