The University of Mannheim is one of the younger German universities. Overview

Today it has about 12,000 students. The university occupies large parts of the Mannheim castle, the world largest one of the baroque era, and some additional new-built lecture halls throughout the city. Some affiliated research institutes like the renowned "Centre for European Economic Research" (ZEW) and the "Mannheim Research Institute for the Economics of Aging" (MEA) are located on the campus.


The emphasis is still on business and economics. The business school is ranked as top in Germany and is accredited by AACSB and EQUIS.
