Unterseeboot 462 (U-462) was a Type XIV U-boat ("Milchkuh") of the Kriegsmarine. Her keel was laid down January 2, 1941, by Deutsche Werke of Kiel. She was commissioned March 5, 1942 with Oberleutnant zur See Bruno Vowe in command. Vowe commanded the boat until she was lost.
