The magical well known as "Well of Urda" or "Well of Fate". Protected by the Norns, it is where all the hot waters, hot rivers, hot springs and all sources of heated water come from in Norse mythology.
Beneath the three roots the realms of Asgard, Jotunheim, and Niflheim are located.
