Encyclopedia > VS Seeker
Battle Searcher

The VS Seeker is a device is obtained in Vermilion City in the video games Pokémon Fire Red and Pokémon Leaf Green. The device signals a request to surrounding trainers for a rematch battle. Trainers wear the device (when illustrated) often on backpack straps. The device is used outdoors (Professor Oak permitting) against Trainers who have already been previously battled. Trainers who wish to battle again will jump and wave to the user of the device to show that they have an interest in a rematch. This particular device allows for more battles than the GSC telephone or even the RSE Trainer Eye.

Some trainers you have battled before will get stronger in later use: Pokémon will be at higher levels, or even evolved.

After using it once, you need to walk 100 steps to recharge the internal battery in order to use the device again.
