Vector Aeromotive was an Americanautomobile company started in the 1976 by Jerry Weigart. Their goal was to make cars that would challenge Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren in terms of performance. In 1993, Indonesian group V'Power bought Vector from Weigert so the company could continue because of money problems. V'Power had previously owned Lamborghini before Audi purchased them. With the infusion of money, and V'Power's connections to Lamborghini, Vector was able to purchase their powerful V-12 engines, which greatly increased the power of their vehicles.
