Sailor Veja - Nadezdha Uzskatit Valsts (13262 words)
Formally, the oldest surviving Veja of the Valsts line owns the march (unless she passes it on to a younger starseed holder while still living,) but a relative acts as steward if Veja is less than twenty years of age.
There runs a legend that the first Veja was a sailor’s daughter, and for many years her father’s ship cut a course so straight and true the winds he rode must have been blessed, but the daughter died young and the ship never returned to port afterward.
Veja spoke to them in the language of the birds and bid them ride the waves in courses straight and true, so that other lost sailors might follow them and find their way home.
