History

Venango county was created on March 12, 1800 from parts of Allegheny and Lycoming Counties and its name comes from the Indian name for French Creek. I think the county government, the way taxes are developed, school boards and the unbelievable power they hold.
It would be nice if our county park (Two Mile Run Park) that all the residents could enjoy was open instead of being a pawn in a game played by the county commissioners and the people hired to manage the park.
