Verona is a town located in Dane County, Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 2,153. The City of Verona is located within the town.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 76.0 km² (29.4 mi²). 75.9 km² (29.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.14% water.

As of the census² of 2000, there are 2,153 people, 758 households, and 601 families residing in the town. The population density is 28.4/km² (73.4/mi²). There are 774 housing units at an average density of 10.2/km² (26.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 96.75% White, 0.60% Black or African American, 0.19% Native American, 1.21% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.23% from other races, and 1.02% from two or more races. 0.98% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
