"Vertigo" is the song that was sung in the semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 by Maltese singer Olivia Lewis. The song opens by an introduction played by a solo violin, then a loud gong crashes and an ethnic melody mainly with guitars starts. Olivia starts to sing until the simple refrain. After this refrain, the same ethnic part replays. Olivia sings on, until after the second refrain, all music stops. Only Olivia singing the part played by the violin in the very beginning accompanied with a harp playing mainly, arpeggios. Then, after a high note from Olivia the music reaches the climax and a breath-taking ending. Malta was 20th in the line-up at the semi-finals on 10 May.
