Vihorlat Protected Landscape Area (Chránená krajinná oblasť Vihorlat) covers the middle part of the Vihorlat Mountain. It covers an area of 43.83 km² (16.92 mi²), and its buffer zone covers an area of 253.5 km² (97.88 mi²). It lies in the districts of Humenné, Snina and Sobrance.
