Encyclopedia > Vivienne Johnson

Vivienne Johnson is a British actress, best known for playing the personal nurse to Young Mr. Grace in the British comedy series Are You Being Served?. The doe eyed, blonde actress generally contributed a line or two in the episodes that included her. She basically could be found at Mr. Grace's side usually administering some form of medical help to him, or merely supplying a guiding hand for when he walked about. Are You Being Served? was a long-running British sitcom broadcast from 1972 to 1985. ...

Ms. Johnson did play a significant role in the AYBS? episode entitled "Closed Circuit", which involved her filling in a voice part for Ms Brahms(who's Cockney accent just didn't fit) while filming a closed circuit television promo for view outside of Grace Brothers department store. A wealthy British lord hears the voice, and wants to meet the person behind the voice, leading to an amusing tale of mixed identities.
