Volt Records was a subsidiary of Stax Records, started in 1965. It was distributed by Atlantic Records and stopped in 1972.

Satellite Records (renamed to 'Stax' in 1961) was founded in 1959 by Jim Stewart and Estelle Axton.
The first successful artists recorded by Satellite were vocalists Rufus and Carla Thomas, a father-daughter duo whose work attracted Atlantic Records, with whom Stewart made a contract giving ownership of master tapes and first choice on releasing recordings.
Fantasy Records bought the post-Atlantic (post-May 1968) Stax recordings and continued to repackage and rerelease the Stax catalogue.
Atco Records - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (233 words)
Atco Records was a United States based subsidiary label of Atlantic Records.
In 1991, Atlantic merged Atco with its fledgling Eastwest Records label, and briefly operated the combination as Atco/Eastwest Records.
As of mid-2005, its most recent release (in a joint venture with Rhino Records) was the soundtrack to the Bobby Darin biopic Beyond the Sea, starring Kevin Spacey and featuring Spacey's renditions of Darin classics.
