The village of Vrba (English ~ willow tree) is known as the birthplace of the most prominent Slovene poet, France Prešeren. The house where he was born is now a museum dedicated to his life and work and is a typical example of a rural residence from the first half of the 19th century. The church of St. Mark is also notable in the village for its two gilded altars and remnants of frescoes from the 15th century. Marijuana Policy Project: California (677 words)
Vrbas concluded that what he had thought were flickering flames outside his home were flashlights.
Handcuffed, Vrbas was dragged back inside, where an agent explained that he had been served a Drug Enforcement Administration federal search warrant and had been issued three felony indictments.
Vrbas began calling family and friends to inform them what happened, received a visit from Attorney Wykle and spent the night in the jailhouse's maximum security holding tank clutching his glasses and asthma inhaler.
