History

Bloomington had it's first radio station broadcasting from Indiana University at that time, but later went off the air in 1951, which WFIU on the FM side would had purchased an AM station to separate the programming like today's WOSU-AM and WOSU-FM from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. However, the station was student-run until 1971. The station was one of the first 90 PBS member stations to broadcast "All Things Considered" in 1971, and in 1973 the station became a nearly all-classical music radio station featuring national programs as well as locally produced content. WOSU is an AM radio station in Columbus, Ohio, located at 820 kHz. ... WOSU-FM 89. ...
