Z-107 in the late 80s to 1991 (the "SSZ" is the sound of the sizzling Hot Hits) and broadcasted in 1990-1991 from a studio in the former Greengate Mall on U.S. Route 30 in Greensburg (now Greengate Centre). WSSZ switched to classic rock Classic Hits Z-107 in July of 1991. All were licensed to Greensburg, but became a simulcast of WAMO-FM in 1996 to cover the eastern part of the metro Pittsburgh market. The simulcast was initiated as part of a sale of the FM station to Sheridan Broadcasting that year, and the AM to another owner.
