WOGI was originally Adult Contemporary WESA-FM and was licensed to Charleroi, Pennsylvania. In the late 1990s they flipped to Rhythmic Top 40 as WZKT (Z98), but that format would go away in 2000 after it was sold to Forever, who in turn flipped to its current format, which originally was a simunlcast of WOGG-FM/Uniontown, Pennsylvania. In March 2002 the station's city of license was changed to Duquesne, allowing the station to target Pittsburgh proper. They also split from simulcasting WOGG after the move except for evenings and late night shifts.
