Waarschoot is a municipality located in the Flemish province of East Flanders, in Belgium. The municipality only comprises the towns of Waarschoot proper. On January 1st, 2004 Waarschoot had a total population of 7,863 (3,914 males and 3,949 females). The total area is 21.91 km� which gives a population density of 358.90 inhabitants per km�.
