Background

Near one of the pools in the Barrens, the druid Naralex entered a cave that reputedly was the source of the magical properties that the pools of the Barrens possessed. In an attempt to seek the source, Naralex was trapped into the Emerald Dream, and the nightmares that he has now manifest themselves in the caves now known as the Wailing Caverns. This also turned the once jungle-like Barrens into what they are presently: a vast grassland. This dungeon is usually thought as the equivilent of The Deadmines for the Horde. Higher levels will often run "Twinks" through the dungeon to get quests and loot from there. Worth-while Loot

Like The Deadmines, a leather set is dropped inside Wailing Caverns. The set is called "The Fang Set", and is dropped off Druids of the Fang and the Fanglords (Bosses). There is also a staff that drops off of Verdan the Everliving. Orcish Juggernaught derelict from after the Second Great War used by the Defias Brotherhood as there base of operations in th Deadmines. ...

The Wailing Caverns is probably the first major instanced dungeon that lower-level Horde players encounter.
The primary reason to venture into Wailing Caverns is for the rewards from the Leaders of the Fang quest.
Wailing Caverns is a rather large instance, so don't commit to it with a group unless you know you'll have at least 2-3 hours to play.
